The President of the Republic of Somaliland Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud “Silanyo” and his delegation have today arrived in Hargeisa after a three-week working visit to Ireland and UK.
The Deputy President Abdirahman Abdillaahi โSayliciโ, members of the cabinet, Kulmiye party leaders, MPs and other notable figures received him at Egal International Airport.
During his stay in Ireland, the President was warmly received by the President of the Republic of Ireland Michael Higgins and high profile members of his Government, where they discussed issues pertaining to the relationship of the two countries.
The President also met with the Somaliland communities in Ireland and UK where he briefed them about Somalilandโs development and current political situation.
On his way to Ireland, the President stopped by Ethiopia and UAE and met officials from these Governments as well.
The arrival of the President coincides at a time when the infighting within the ruling party is at its peak.
