Somaliland President Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud “Silanyo” on Saturday has fired the chairman of the country’s Supreme Court Yusuf Ismail Ali. This was informed through a press statement dispatched by the presidential press service in Hargeisa.

The head of state in conformity with Article 90 and section 3 of article 105, of the Somaliland constitution, And in acting upon National Justice Committee Recommendations which states the difficulty of establishing working relationship between the supreme court chairman and the National Justice Committee.
And in view of the successive complaints made by Somaliland public against the Supreme Court chairman,
And while realizing that a change is needed in Somaliland’s justice system hereby decided that as from today the president relieved the duties of the Supreme Court chairman Yusuf Ismail Ali
