Today I want to talk about a wonderful and tangible achievement that Hargeisa University made it through last year of 2016 till this year and what I have seen is absolutely remarkable. There has been a huge shift in improving the quality of University in terms of academic reforms, creating academic commissions for each faculty, eradicating cheating behavior, and improving the basic infrastructure of the main campus.
I cannot say that the University of Hargeisa has made %100 development but it has tried its best compared to other Somaliland universities and the thing that it touched me personally is the on going activities such as Teacher trainings, Research finding announcements, and other international trainings.
The university has made both international collaborations with their counterparts and creating reputable image to Somaliland society too. This has led the universityโs administration to make University of Hargeisa great again.
This has showed that regardless of the subsidies of the Somaliland government, the University will achieve its goals by collecting the tuition fee for producing a quality of graduates. What even has shocked me is that the students pay the lowest affordable price compared to other universities and yet the students receive quality of Knowledge and meeting the standard that is super professional.
When comes to staffs, they normally advertise jobs both internally and externally in order to get a staff that is well educated and excellent team player which is very rare to find in other universities locally. In the aspect of the regulations and policies is super marvelous which can be the ground rules for the insinuation to be evaluated.
Still there is a long way to go but so far so good and I pretty sure that in any university is easier to go up and down but very difficult to maintain. I am pray that that quality is maintained and legacy is left behind.
