Somaliland President Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud (Silanyo) on Sunday opened aย National Congress for Kulmiye Party Youth Wing held atย Maansoor Hotel, Hargeisa.
In his address, Presidentย Silanyo underlinedย that his government has no plan to request another term extension and insisted that Somaliland’s presidential election will be held on 27 March 2017 despite severe droughts that affected many parts of the country.
“I reaffirm that there will be no further delay on presidential election” the president said.
The presidentย also re-endorsed Kulmiye candidates and urged young people to elect Muse and Abdirahman Saylici.
“Muuse Biihi and Abdirahman Saylici are the most suitable candidates to lead the country in the coming years, I urge all Somaliland youth to elect them in March” Silanyo said.
According to the organizers, the congress was attended by more than 2000 youth delegates from all regions of Somaliland.
